Computational Fluid Dynamics and Propulsion

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

About Us

Professor Cizmas’ research activity and teaching interest are in propulsion and power, computational methods for fluid dynamics, combustion and multi-phase flows simulation, aeroelasticity, and reduced-order models.

Our group’s current research activities include developing full-order model and reduced-order model computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods, exploring the role of the second law of thermodynamics on modeling reacting flows, reduction and control of sonic boom, modeling of turbomachinery internal flows and prediction of rotordynamic effects, and experimental and numerical investigation of hydrogen combustion in rotating detonating engines and jet engines.
